Mark Tilley, Director
Began his professional life working for one of the world’s leading auction houses, involved with both the arts side of the business as well as setting up their events team. Moving on to head up Barclays Capital’s European Marketing and Events Team where he gained a wealth of experience of large scale business driven events. In 2003 palette was founded with the objective to create an event management company with its own catering, creative agency and floristry divisions.
Matthew Blythe, Director
Having started his early career in events, marketing and public relations, Matthew then spent the next eight years as Marketing Director of an international newspaper in London. In 2006 he joined the Palette team, bringing enthusiasm and a genuine love of people and events. His naturally relaxed approach, industry experience and an eye for detail, give him the perfect skills to work closely with our varied client base.
cannot imagine my wedding without Palette. Everything went so perfectly because of them and I am so appreciative of everything they did. Since the beginning when we contacted them, they were accommodating, helpful and took the time to get to know us and what we wanted on our wedding day. Not only are Matthew and Mark easy to work with, but took the time to listen to what we wanted while also providing great advice and expertise.
The food was amazing and the service was amazing. In our tasting, we got to meet the wonderful chef and discuss different food ideas we wanted. They were more than accommodating on the different dietary restrictions some of our guests had as well. All of our guests kept commenting on how wonderful it was, how friendly the staff was, and how beautiful the tables and food looked. Because of the collaborative environment Palette has, we really felt like we got to examine all the options and it wasn't a cookie-cutter experience. It was unique and reflected what we wanted.
We really enjoyed working with the whole team and appreciate their patience as we often were sending many emails to them with questions and changes that we had. Matthew was quick to respond and helpful in all that he provided and said.
We could not have been happier with the experience and cannot recommend Palette enough!! They are wonderful and we are so happy we got to know them throughout this planning experience.
cannot thank Palette enough for making our wedding the most special day ever. The food was perfect, the decorations were EXACTLY what we asked for and no request was too large or too inconvenient. The whole team at Pallette were absolutely incredible from start to finish. They did the catering for our wedding, but they are SO much more than a catering company. Other than catering they took care of our entertainment, decoration and flowers.
Our budget was limited and they were amazing at helping us to come up with cost saving solutions whilst still making the day feel special.
Rachael and the team were so accommodating of everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble.
We met several times beforehand, firstly to decide on the menu and then the tasting. All the options they presented were delicious, fresh and perfectly cooked. The chefs were lovely and very warm.
A few days before, Rachael came to our house to pick up place cards, table plans and decorations.
After sharing a few Pinterest ideas, the flowers Mark put together were exactly what I had in mind, fun, colourful and seasonal. We'd collected jam jars for the table arrangements which looked perfect.
Rachael was fantastic at putting your mind at ease, you just knew she had everything under control and there was nothing to worry about.
They were able to supply some giant garden games for guests to play with too which were a nice touch!
The organisation was impeccable and they made sure the day ran smoothly.
The faith and confidence I had in Pallette to deliver the vision I had for my wedding went a long way to calming my nerves!
Hire pallette and know your event will go well. We can't thank them enough.
So way beyond what was expected of a caterer, Matthew is a rock star! The food was delicious, waitstaff polite and lovely, crockery as nice as can be, but the standout on the day was Matthew. Leading up to the wedding he had done around 7 rewrites of the quote to reflect all the little changes we thought of and it never felt like he was annoyed by this. A few days before the wedding, we dropped off a carful of things to go on the tables like confetti, candles, name cards, and favours which were all perfectly placed on the tables – he even printed menu cards which we had not had time to do! On the day he was such a joy to have around from the very beginning, he ensured my dress was looking perfect before I walked down the aisle, made jokes to keep me calm, even moved the father of the groom’s car for us – the list is endless! Genuinely don’t think the day would have been the same without Matt there, endless gratitude!
